IUPAC CrystEng 2024

Engineering crystals of functional materials

Crystal engineering is a highly interdisciplinary field, dealing with the design of predictable and controllable solid-state materials by exploiting different intermolecular interactions. Crystal engineering has expanded rapidly in the last decades producing many structurally precise functional materials with advanced properties. The subject goes beyond the traditional division of organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. It has strong overlap with supramolecular chemistry, X-ray crystallography, material science, and solid-state chemistry and this makes for a very eclectic blend of ideas, techniques and strategies.

This ECM34 satellite meeting aims to provide a forum to discuss the current state of the art of this rapidly evolving field. Through invited talks by leading scientists from institutions and organizations worldwide, we intend to create open relaxed discussions between researchers focused on the latest developments in the field.

We are pleased to invite you to be a part of this exceptional event. It will offer networking opportunities among peers, recognized leaders, young scientists and students and permit the exchange of the latest scientific knowledge regarding the field of crystal engineering.

We look forward to meeting you at the IUPAC CrystEng 2024 workshop in Milan!
