Great success for the first International Symposium on Halogen Bonding
![isxb](/images/isxb.png)
This international symposium covered all aspects where halogen bonding (XB) plays a role, spanning supramolecular chemistry, materials sciences, and life sciences. In particular, the ISXB-1 encompassed both traditional XB core areas, e.g. crystal engineering and molecular modeling, and less established fields, like, among others, catalysis and polymer chemistry.
The program comprised 76 oral communications including plenary, key-note, and invited lectures by internationally renowned leaders. A total of 67 posters were presented in the Poster Session.
Prof. Pierangelo Metrangolo was one of the chairman and part of the organizing committee of the event.
