Pierangelo Metrangolo gave a seminar entitled "Halocarbons in Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology: New Opportunities and Challenges" at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Antwerp, Belgium on Septemer 22, 2017.
Congratulations to the team of the project MINIRES, Francesca Baldelli Bombelli, Pierangelo Metrangolo, and Andrea Pizzi who won the Switch2Product competition of the Politecnico di Milano in the track New Technologies. The idea is to develop a synthetic bioelastomer with simpler chemical structure and higher performances compared to the already existing solutions on the market.
Francesca Baldelli Bombelli gave an invited lecture at the International Symposia on Fluorous Technologies (iSoFT) 2017 which was held in Cambridge, MA, USA from 9th to 11th August, 2017. The title of the lecture was "Fluorinated smart reporters as innovative bio-tools"
